Habitat for Humanity Zambia (HFHZ) is part of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), a worldwide non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry, which was founded in 197 and focused on eliminating poverty housing by providing simple, decent houses for families in need, and to make shelter a matter of conscience and action.

 

The mission statement of Habitat for Humanity is

 

"Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. By working in partnership with families to provide safe affordable shelter, Habitat empowers them to break the cycle of poverty and build the foundation for a secure future.

 

 HFHZ is currently operating in four provinces of Zambia; Lusaka, Central Province, Copperbelt and Western Province. Habitat for Humanity is a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing.
